I think this book is the best one for beginners since it’s actually an introduction to forex. Almost every basic forex topic had been discussed here by the author. Some seasoned traders might also be interested in reading this book though it might have been helpful too if the author provided more examples.

I won't suggest FXCM to newbie traders. Their platform is not suitable for new traders who are just starting to learn forex trading. Moreover, FXCM often gives the impression that they are trading against their clients. And that they just mind their own interest.
